Dr. Adair describes his orthodontic philosophy as holistic with an emphasis on overall health while focusing on facial and dental esthetics. As part of his approach at his pediatric dental office, he loves the technical challenges that orthodontics offers, as well as the artistic touch to create dazzling smiles, all while striving to improve the health of his patients. Dr. Adair actively teaches his unique philosophy and techniques to other doctors so that they can help their patients as well.
Dr. Adair enjoys being involved in the community. He has sponsored and been involved with many local activities like the Turkey Trot, Little League, Football, Cheerleading, Band, Soccer, Fun Runs, as well as events that help provide care like Give Kids a Smile and Candy Buy Backs. Dr. Adair feels these events are an opportunity to express gratitude for the community’s support.
Dr. Kevin Adair graduated from UCSF School of Dentistry in 1998. He then practiced as a general dentist for nine years and taught at the University of the Pacific Dental School (UOP), before realizing that orthodontics was his passion. He sold his general practice and attended UOP School of Dentistry for his Certificate in Orthodontics.
Dr. Kevin Adair has enjoyed teaching throughout his career. He taught with the International Association of Orthodontics (IAO), at UOP Dental School and Orthotropics with the Hang Mini Residency. In addition, Dr. Adair has Co-Founded a collaborative study club, Team Airway Study Club. The goal of this group is to work with numerous different health care providers to deliver exceptional, overall care for our patients and advance our knowledge and understanding of airway issues. Dr. Adair has conducted research at both undergraduate and graduate levels at UC Davis, UC San Francisco, and UOP. At GV Smiles Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics, Dr. Adair follows an airway-friendly philosophy. His approach evaluates the airway and facial balance of each person while creating exceptional faces and gorgeous smiles.
Dr. Kevin Adair is active in professional organizations and is currently President of the North American Association of Facial Orthotropics as well as occupying numerous board positions in a number of organizations. Dr. Adair is currently a member of the International Association of Orthodontics, the International Association for Facial Growth Guidance, the California Dental Association, the Napa Solano Dental Society, American Association of Orthodontists, and many others. Staying active in dental societies and charitable organizations is an important outlet for Dr. Adair to give back to the community. He routinely supports local schools and many activities such as the Solano Turkey Trot, Fun Runs, Cheerleading, etc.
Dr. Adair and his beautiful wife have a spunky toddler and sweet newborn that keeps them busy.
